The Girl Scout term "Bridging" refers to the time when a Scout advances from one Program Level (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador, Adult) to another.
To earn the Bridging Patch, Scouts must complete 2 Steps outline in their current Scout Handbook; Step 1 is "Pass It On", Step 2 is "Look Ahead".
Troop leaders often organize a Bridging Ceremony and invite their Scout families to celebrate the completion of one level of Girl Scouting and share in the anticipation of what the next level of Girl Scouting brings.
Service Units will often organize a Bridging and Awards Ceremony for all the Troops in the Service Unit to celebrate together. The Service Unit Ceremony features Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award recipients as well.
Service Unit 155 has two Bridges that you can use for your Ceremony if you'd like. Contact Michele Carey - firstname.lastname@example.org to see if one is available when you need it.
There are also Bridges around Plano that you could use.
Bridge behind Davis Elementary - there is also a playground and a nice pagoda.
Bridge behind Carlisle Elementary - there is a playground nearby too.
