As a girl moves from one level of Girl Scouts to another, she is eligible to earn the bridging award for her program level. There are requirements for each level to complete to earn their award. Primarily, they have two parts - 1) to meet girls younger than their program level and 2) to meet girls in Girl Scouts in the higher program levels.

This is GIRL LED. As part of coordinating this event, the service unit will rotate you between 4 stations at the event, where you will meet with girls in the different program levels allowing each troop to complete the 2 steps for the requirements award. The closing ceremony is extra special for both girls and leaders.

Girls who have fulfilled the Bridging requirements are then be eligible to officially "Bridge" or "move up" to the next level.

If you have completed or in progress of completing the Bronze, Silver or Gold awards PLEASE PLAN TO HAVE your Project Boards, videos (bring your laptop), or other media ready to share at this event.

Girl Scouts of all levels will Look ahead at the next level of Girl Scouts and also share to pass it on to the girls coming behind you. Share in this time together to see how girls have showcased leadership as they have Discovered, Connected and have Taken Action at each program level.

Below, options for each step and pairing between programs is done to help with event planning.

If you need an audience to showcase your journey project and complete your showcase journey award step – this is it!!
